Q: What is IGNITE?

A: IGNITE is a one-day, outdoor Christian music festival. Everyone is invited to come together for the purpose of worshipping and seeing Jesus Christ change lives.  IGNITE is a worship experience for believers and an evangelistic outreach for the non-believers. We encourage everyone to bring a friend who doesn’t know Jesus as his or her personal Savior. IGNITE is essentially an outdoor event with a music festival atmosphere.

Q: Do you have a scheduled time for the artists and speakers?
A: Yes, but who knows if we'll really stick to it. Just be there at 1pm to be sure that you don't miss anything. The schedule will be announced on the main page as we get closer to the event.

Q: What if it rains?
A: IGNITE is a rain-or-shine event. Come prepared for either. 

Q: How do I volunteer to work at IGNITE?
A: Please contact us via email at ignite@ignitepellcity.com if you are interested in helping us with this event. We need all of the help that we can get.

Q: What ages can attend IGNITE?
A: If you are breathing,  you can come.   Just keep in mind that IGNITE takes place in a wide-open field so younger children may be hard to contain.

Q: How much is admission?
A: This event is FREE! 

Q: Where is the IGNITE event held and how do I get there?
A: IGNITE is happening in Pell City, Alabama, very near to the downtown area. Click here for a map.   You can get there by car, walking, running, helicopter, horseback, motorcycle or any other means of transportation that you can acquire. Free parking will be available (except for horses and helicopters).

Q: What time do the gates open?
A: Gates will open at 12pm so come early!  *Subject to Change, Please check back closer to the event.*

Q: What time does IGNITE start and end?
A: Activities will begin at 1:00pm August 15th 2008. We will probably be finished by 9:30pm at the latest (but don't hold us to it). *Subject to Change, Please check back closer to the event.*

Q: What are the seating arrangements for IGNITE?
A: IGNITE is an outdoor event and you sit on the ground around the stage area. You are welcome to bring blankets and lawn chairs.

Q: What kind of food is available?
A: There will be many types of foods and snacks available, free of charge, all provided by local churches.

Q: Can we bring a tent to set up for shade?
A: Yes, but they will not be allowed beyond a certain point due to viewing restrictions. Sorry,  no campfires, fly-fishing, or weinie roasts will be allowed.

Q: Is smoking allowed at IGNITE?
A: If you are smoking,  you had better be on fire!  IGNITE is a smoke free event

Q: Can we bring pets?
A: No. For the safety of everyone there, we ask that you leave your pets at home.

Q: Can we bring coolers and/or bottled water?
A: Yes.  However, no alcoholic beverages will be allowed. (duh!)

Q: Will there be merchandise being sold?
A: The only thing that will be sold at the event is artist's merchandise. The artists will have tables set up to sell merchandise at reasonable prices and possibly IGNITE '09 T-shirts.  We are working to be sure that most everything else is free.

Q: I have a band,  can I perform at Ignite?
A: The artist/talent roster for the 2009 event has already been set.  We would love to know more about your ministry for consideration for next years event.  Please email Kerry and he'll tell you where to send your press kit.

Q: What is a concession booth?
A: We want IGNITE 09 to be a totally free event and to have all area churches participating.  We accomplish this goal by allowing local churches and businesses to have "booths" at the event where they will be providing something free to all attendees.  This may be popcorn, cotton candy,  or some other delectable item that they dream up or some other creative item.  They will also be providing general information about their church and/or business at their booth for people who are currently seeking a church to attend.
